Want to know about Cupping?

CUPPING

Cupping has been used for more than 2000 years. It is the process of creating a vacuum to

suction cups onto the body in order to treat a variety of ailments. In Chinese Medicine it

brings Qi and Blood to the surface to remove stagnation from deeper in the body or in the

meridians.

Cupping can be done with stationary cups placed on particular points or as moving

cupping over a larger surface. It can be used with acupuncture or as a stand alone

treatment.

Cupping can help to treat:

Pain (acute and chronic)

Asthma

Fertility

Gynecological issues

Allergies

Infections

Toxicity and Poison

Digestive issues

Abdominal pain

Arthritis

Colds and Flu

Cupping is generally used for more excess conditions. Talk to your Chinese Medicine Practitioner to find out if cupping is right for you or if another modality of treatment such as acupuncture, moxibustion, tuina, or herbs would actually be more helpful for the issues you have.
